What We Offer You…

On average most unexpected repair bills cost £617 according to RAC findings.

On all repairs your vehicle will receive a vehicle health check – like a pre-mot inspection.

Giving you insight to your vehicles up coming repairs or preventative maintenance.

Health Checks

    • Tyres (tread depth, pressure, damage)

    • Brakes (pad thickness, fluid condition)

    • Lights, wipers, battery health

    • Fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid)

    • Exhaust, suspension, and steering components

    • Diagnostic scan (for fault codes)

    BlackMountain UK colour-code the results:

    • ✅ Green: OK

    • 🟡 Amber: Needs attention soon

    • 🔴 Red: Urgent repair needed

A vehicle health check (VHC) is a quick, multi-point inspection that gives you a snapshot of your car’s condition.

Repairs

    • Replacing worn brake pads or discs

    • Fixing oil leaks or coolant leaks

    • Changing a dead alternator or starter motor

    • Fixing gearbox/clutch faults

    • Suspension and steering issues

    • Replacing a failed DPF, EGR valve, or turbo

Repairs often happen after a fault is detected – either through symptoms (e.g., strange noises, warning lights) or during an inspection.

  • Delaying repairs can make things worse, cost more later, and even make the car unsafe or illegal to drive.

Repairs are needed when something breaks, fails, or wears out unexpectedly.

Maintenance

    • Oil and filter changes

    • Brake checks and fluid top-ups

    • Tyre inspections and rotations

    • Timing belt/chain replacement

    • Battery checks

    • Air, cabin, fuel filter changes

    • Coolant, transmission and steering fluid checks

    • Usually every 6 to 12 months, or based on mileage (e.g. every 10,000–15,000 miles)

    • Based on your car's manufacturer service schedule (found in the manual)

  • Skipping maintenance can lead to expensive breakdowns and reduce your car’s resale value.

Maintenance refers to regular, scheduled services and tasks designed to prevent problems and extend the life of your vehicle.
